ROYAL OAK STUDIO HONORED FOR MOTION GRAPHICS WORK

2.26.10 - Awards are pouring in for the newest service division of Skidmore Studio, a 50-year-old Royal Oak creative firm. This week the studio was recognized for motion graphics work from the Telly Awards and MotionServed.com, one of the creative community's most preeminent portfolio web sites.

Two distinct pieces of motion graphics/video animation were honored including "Art is Everywhere," an educational and awareness-building piece developed for ArtServe Michigan and "The Vault," a studio sample created to showcase capabilities. Both projects were developed in AfterEffects, while "The Vault" was composed of computer-generated imagery (CGI).

From the Telly Awards, Skidmore Studio was awarded the Silver, which is the international competition's highest honor. This year the awards program, which honors outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, received nearly 11,000 entries from around the world. Skidmore's award was for ArtServe Michigan's "Art is Everywhere" video.

MotionServed.com features top quality creative work in the field of video animation. The site, which is run by designers, displays industry-respected projects from the portfolios of the most talented creative people and teams around the world. It is a part of the Behance Network, an invitation-only online platform for the creative professional community.
